Red Seal IP Exam - RSOS Framework
The Heavy Equipment Operator Red Seal IP (Interprovincial) exam is now aligned to the 2023 Red Seal Occupational Standard (RSOS). The RSOS replaced the former National Occupational Analysis (NOA) as the framework defining the competencies, blocks, and lines tested on the IP exam. When studying for the Red Seal IP exam, candidates should reference the 2023 RSOS for Heavy Equipment Operator to understand the exam blueprint and the weighting of each competency area.
RSOS Replaces NOA
The 2023 Red Seal Occupational Standard (RSOS) is the current framework for the Heavy Equipment Operator IP exam. The former National Occupational Analysis (NOA) is no longer used as the exam reference. All current exam blueprints are derived from the RSOS blocks and lines.
