Why must shackle threads be inspected before each use?
A
Thread inspection is only required for nuts and bolts, not shackle pins
B
Damaged or corroded threads may prevent the pin from fully seating, reducing the shackle's ability to carry its rated load
C
Thread corrosion increases friction, which actually makes the connection stronger
D
Damaged threads can cause the pin to cross-thread during removal, making future inspection impossible
